In 1919, the archaeologist John Foggart finds in Cornwall Bowen’s tomb, a tenth century Celtic missionary, inside which he discovers relics made from and unknown metal. Foggart travels to the mainland seeking for the origin of those relics, but he disappears without a trace. A year after, Elizabeth Faraday, Foggart’ wife, and her daughter Kathy, get in contact with the professor Ulises Zarco, an explorer as brilliant as bad tempered, to ask him to help them find the archaeologist . Zarco agrees and they start a searching that will lead them to a mysterious island in the Artic, always chased by tycoon Aleksander Ardan who wants to take over the relics secret. This novel is a recreation of the classic adventures genre, Verne, Wells or Conan Doyle style.
