Drebantis riteris

Yet another Picture book by famous Lithuanian children‘s book illustrator and writer Kęstutis Kasparavičius (1954), which tells a winter tale about Duck Town and one of its inhabitants Antanas the Duck. The carefully drawn illustrations done with watercolor, which are characteristic of his work, are full of humor and are precise in their conveying of the mood of winter. They also bring out the personified traits of the ducks, their life and desire to be noticed and loved. The town is suddenly surrounded by the glittering ice of the frozen river. It is the river that becomes the place where Antanas shows his worth, finally getting the attention of the mysterious girl duck Rudė. The book talks about worthy values, heartfeltness and fearless when one wants to help another.
