Asumptions waft across the schoolyard. No question: The 10b՚s school trip has escalated. But why and how, everyone remains silent about. Not even their destination is certain. One thinks, they were in Santa Something. Teacher Utz demands a lot from his class: hours of bus rides, an absolute ban of cell phones, guided tours of museums and lectures on art historical sites prepared by his pupils. In addition, the students should keep a log of their trip. After it has become clear that Utz will never read the lines, longer reports replace the initial logs. In addition, not only does accompanying teacher “the Empress” take the side of the class, but also unexpectedly another ally. Tamara Bach lets the 10b become a unit, solidarity and cohesion shape the last days together. Bach՚s sometimes laconic, but authentic tone unfolds a poetic, captivating force. This title is nominated for the 2021 German Children՚s Literature Award.
