Roméo lives in a crumbling tower block on the edge of the Paris ring road. He keeps up the walls with his pal Dimitri, aka Zbeul, and awaits the return of his brother Jean, who disappeared at a party just over a year ago. From time to time, he runs into Miranda, with whom he's in love, while Zbeul only has eyes for Carmen from the 10th floor punk squat. One day, Romeo is approached by Imogène, the "madwoman" from the 22nd floor, who lives in seclusion. She claims to be in contact with Jean... Three years after the already explosive Gorilla Girl, Anne Schmauch returns to teen fiction, and her talent for sketching colorful characters continues to sparkle. In this completely off-the-wall story, she takes readers from a chronicle of inner-city youth to a horrific novel with zombies and unsavory details galore, regaling us with a wicked sense of humor that's present in every situation, even the most desperate!
