Young children are the main characters of this poetry collection and completely take over their parents’ lives, making them love and worry, play and delight, as they discover the world together. The family relationships are captured in a way that is sure to make children laugh — and adults smile — as they identify with the
characters. A tired mum who sings in the shower and escapes the real world in a video game, a dad who hovers over his child like a helicopter, and a newborn baby that everyone stares at adoringly even as it shrieks and cries are some of the characters the author uses to explore issues in nuclear families and society at large.
