The book Close Your Eyes was created by the poet Tomáš Janovic and by an illustrator Mária Nerádová. In the episodic miniatures consisting of four verses, the author allusively refers to both common and less common everyday situations, and he includes in it a point in order to activate a child, and to support their perception and comprehension of the language. In the funny rhymes and tales, the children get to know the beauty of the rhyme and rhythm, they denominate things, nature, and everything that surrounds them, and give it a human character. From the author's perspective, the concept of getting to know is embodied in a dialogue, that arises between a child and an adult while playing. The book was awarded The Most Beautiful Children's Book and The Best Children's Book of the Summer 2016.
