Ján Milčák, an expert author with multiple awards for prosaic books, radio adaptations, and literature for juvenile, created seven legends of Levoča. The author covers sensitively also the topics of social conditions and contrasts, inequalities. The picture of hard times of the Middle Ages is lightened with pleasant natural descriptions, i.e. the plant kingdom, the small animals, and everything that formed the typical atmosphere of the city. The plot has a realistic form, so it is a kind of documentary about the epoch and the city, and the book carries the traditional theme that good wins over evil. The book was awarded The Best Children's Book of the Winter 2016.
