Pakistan’s folk tales have been retold by Pakistan’s famous poet and author Fahmida Riaz. They include the spiritual love story of Omar Marvi of Sindh, the legend of Adam Khan and Dur Khaniayi of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gohar ki untniaan (Gohar’s camels of Balochistan) and Puran Dervaish of the Punjab. All of them are love stories that continue to fascinate people of the lands they belong to.
