The forest is a home, as well as the school for a girl called Pöllö (‘Owl’). Raven and fox are her friends. Siina, who is Pöllö’s blind mother, is called to heal the daughter of a cruel lord Varjoton. Varjoton is building a Golden Mill, which would turn the forest into gold. Pöllö decides to save the forest with the help of two boys, Hiisku and Matrus. Varjoton and his troops are dangerous and brutal, and the secret passages are full of prisoners. The Golden Mill is protected by a horrible beast. What could Pöllö and her friends do to save the forest?
