Jacek is home alone again. Evenings are the time of peaceful silence, shadows and sleep. But who is making all that noise? The residents of the old house are complaining. Different objects are complaining too: an armchair, a clock, a lamp, a towel, a tube and a toothbrush. Then a book falls on the floor with a loud noise. Uh, all that noise, there is no end to it. Someone knocks loudly on the door. Who is it? It is Jacek` s neighbour Justin, and he doesn’t` look happy. But behind him is standing a little girl and kindly smiles. This poetic picture book tells a story about loneliness and the comforting power of a simple smile.
