In the thirty poems of "Porridge made from Rhymes", everything imaginable is rhymed, mixed, and spiced with a few pinches of humor: a hesitant swimmer, a frightened little ghost, a giant that even spoons aren't safe from, the strongest animal in the world, a whole class of children, quarrelsome clothes, a fish on a train, and many more characters and things. The playful poet delights in linguistic gymnastics or, better said, word cookery, creating with all sorts of elements – human figures, animals, plants and objects, ensuring there's something for everyone. This also applies to the witty and inovative illustrations created by a younger generation illustrator who is already well-established internationally. Kvartič and Medved have joined forces for the first time, but certainly not the last. This witty book will entertain both preschool children and a bit more experienced readers.
