A novel by the award-winner Flemish author Marita De Sterck, in which the reader gets to know the main character Tanne along several generations. With the devil as a permanent theme, Tanne's early fascination with herbs and their magical powers, which help her succeed into charming the man she wants, will backfire at her in the coming years. Even the relationship with her granddaughter Yara, with whom she shares the passion for heath, will be strained by the overwhelming power at stake. A captivating book for youth that confirms once again De Sterck's talent.
